Olympics?
Top 30 Climbing Walls(I never heard of them before either), reports that climbing will be a demonstration sports at this Winter Olympics. They announced it earlier in Climbing at the Olympic Games? and cited a couple of sources.
Climbing Magazine perhaps best explains it in this title Climbing at Olympics—Sort Of. It’s a demonstration sport with bouldering and speed climbing. It’s not a competition. Even though it may sound funny that the Union Internationale des Association d’Alpinisme (UIAA) is organizing it instead of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the IOC is an umbrella organization, and designates the UIAA as a International Sports Federation. The requirements of this designation include: ” they must apply the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code and conduct effective out-of-competition tests in accordance with the established rules.”
