Challenging yourself after an accident

Here’s a quick story about Warren MacDonald, a climber who lost both legs due to a fall in Northern Austrialia. He was scambling over a rock while looking for a place to go to the bathroom. The rock face he climbed over broke, and he was trapped. Since then (1997), he has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and El Capitan. He continues to challenge himself, taking up ice climbing and environmental causes.

Forcing Safe Climbing?

The rescue of three climbers on Mount Hood has led some to suggest requiring every Hood climber to have the Mountain Locater Units. State Rep. John Lim introduced a bill to require it. Climber on Survivor

Filed under: News — gavin @ 9:32 pm

It looks like there’s a climber on Survivor. Michelle Li is the latest climber to land on the island. She mentions wanting to boulder in New Zealand, not a bad choice at all. She talks a bit about it on her interview, but it’s not enough to make me watch the show. If they had climbing all the time, maybe.

There was another climber on Survivor, Dave Johnson. I didn’t watch that one either.
